Soup!

I've spent the entire week snowed in, and for some reason, soup has been the answer. Without work, I've had time to cook. I mentioned the carrot and cumin soup, I have since made;
onion
leek & potato
cauliflower & broccoli

To my delight, they've been doing exactly what I'd hoped. I've had at least one serving of soup every day as a meal and they've been both low-calorie and filling (the onion soup was so delicious that I ate it twice in the same day). Other meals have been mackerel and horseradish filled granary rolls, scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast, pork stir-fry, oven baked southern coated chicken and marmite filled granary rolls. Breakfast has been a sweet treat, sometimes fruit yogurt, sometimes cinnamon and raisin bagel, sometimes fruit loaf. And there's normally a cup of coffee at breakfast and another couple during the day, although a lot of the time, I've been drinking sugar-free squash, or plain water.

The weight is going in the right direction - yesterday morning I weighed in at 13st 4lb. My partner has been away in Texas since last Wednesday, so I haven't had to watch him eating snacks. He doesn't get home until Saturday, so I have another few days to cement these better eating habits.
