In common with many others, I'm none too happy about the changes to LJ ToS, but it took me some time to sort out importing everything over here and I still feel vaguely dirty that I had to accept them in order to get everything transferred.  But it will now be deleted, and my further crafting will be posted sporadically here in future.  I've done quite a bit since I last posted, but haven't shown them off on social media.  Maybe that will be the next post - catching up on all of it.  That's it for now though x
 Well, I weighed myself this morning and to my delight, it registered 11st 7lb.  I'm fairly sure that this is the lowest that I've got my weight back to in at least five years, so I'm really pleased., although I know I still want to go further, but such positive results are keeping me motivated.  That and a look ahead to a holiday in Mexico at the end of March and then my partner's eldest daughter's wedding in July followed immediately by taking his younger two daughters to Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest.  

Anyhow, as promised, since I've passed the 11st 8lb barrier (albeit for only a single day so far) I have some update photographs!









Areas where I'm fairly sure I can visibly see improvement now are mainly my lovehandles, thighs and upper arms.  Still quite a way to go with my waistline at the moment.  But the health benefits are definitely coming forward - my knees have been nowhere near as painful over the past couple of months.  And that's what it's really about.
Well, actually, my weight remains the same-ish.  I've wavered up and down since my first visit to 11st 9lb, but never over 11st 12lb.  I've been slightly unwell, I've had a dinner party, I haven't remained entirely on the mealpacks that comprise the eating plan.  But mysteriously, despite the scales still showing 11st 9lb, my measurements are gradually decreasing - so maybe there's a bit less fat and a bit more lean now emerging.

Yes, I know they're only a little bit decreased - but I'm absolutely fine about that.  Maybe I'll get to the 11st 8lb and photo time over the weekend.  Another rifle through the wardrobe gives me the news that there are now no pairs of trousers that I can't get over my thighs, although there are four pairs which are not going to do up comfortably around the waist just yet (not really surprising, as I know that I had a 27" waist once upon a time) but that will probably become more comfy in time.  Another pair of jeans that are now too big for me have been consigned to the packed away stuff, since they've been replaced with another couple of pairs which I can get into happily (I'm wearing a pair right now).
Ten days after getting back on the eating carefully wagon and I weigh in at 11st 9lb this morning - only a pound away from where I've pledged to take more photographs.  Interestingly my measurements are showing that I've lost weight from around my ribcage.

 I decided back before Christmas to just eat with everyone else through the festive period.  I've had cakes, chocolates and lots of yummy savoury snacks.  And gratifyingly, I stood on the scales this morning and still weighed in at 11 stone 12 pounds (166 pounds).  I've got a party to go to tomorrow, so I'm not getting back on the diet bandwagon until Tuesday, when I return to work.  But generally, I'm happy at the gradual weightloss that I've managed since the start of 2011 - it's been slow but all trending in the right direction.  I'm able to wear a whole load of clothes that have been taunting me from the wardrobe for several years - pairs of jeans are coming back into commission, work suits, work trousers, blouses.  I still have quite a way to go before I'll be down to what I consider a healthy weight for myself, but 30lb loss over the year has put me back into a place where I'm much happier with my own body (I felt uncomfortable at the higher weight) and my knees are complaining less often.  
 It's quarter to six in the morning and I'm jetlagged, so my bladder woke me up and now I'm not getting back to sleep.  I got home at around 2pm on Friday (my plane was slightly late and then I had to fill some forms in, because my baggage hadn't come in on the same flight as I did).  My VLCD mealpaks have arrived and I've been reading up on the literature which accompanied them.  I have already weighed myself this morning and the much more accurate electronic scales that I own tell me that I'm now 166lb, that is 11 stone 12lb.  I've also nabbed the tape measure and the results are as follows:
Waist - 32.75" (83cm)
Hips - 40.5" (103cm)
Chest - 45" (114cm)
Upper right arm - 14" (35.5cm)
Upper left arm 13.5" (34cm)
Right thigh 26" (66cm)
Left thigh 25.5" (65cm)

Those give me a lot of scope for reduction, although much to my delight, I managed to get a dress for this year's Christmas party which was sized at 12 Super Curvy, to accommodate my bust!
