Progress

Another early start this morning - but this time because I haven't quite adjusted to the clock change from BST to GMT.  The weekend with my beloved went well.  I helped with the cooking and we made cauliflower cheese for one meal and a bacon, pea and sweetcorn risotto for another.  I had some toast for breakfast and was good about not having snacks.  On the Sunday, we went shopping and his daughters wanted to eat out, so we went to Wagamama's and I chose a raw juice and smoked haddock ramen.  The ramen portion was enormous, so I only ate as much as assuaged my hunger, which was about a third of the bowl.  This has all paid off, as when I got on the scales this morning, I weighed 12st 13lb.

I'm not finding it difficult to stick to, at all.  I assume that my subconscious has finally fallen in to line and decided that I will be happier losing weight than eating lots of fat and sugar.  I'm glad that the eating out was accomplished without feeling like I have to martyr myself.  I have another couple of tests this week - a retirement party and going out for a meal for my mother's 70th birthday.  But I'm sure that I can make sensible choices and not sabotage myself.  Oh, and I had a few (not many) Revels whilst at the cinema, which was a nice treat.

Talking of which, lovely to have home made ready meals in the freezer for when I don't really want to cook.  Tonight I had pasta with a mince and tomato sauce.  I've managed to stay well within budgetary constraints too - and there's still plenty in the freezer and store cupboards.  I'm going to need continuing ingenuity, as my budget is likely to get even tighter over the next few months...

However, at the moment, it's all good!
